Can you tell if your employees are using drugs? What signs and symptoms can you recognize to determine if your employees are using or impaired?
Alcohol or illicit drugs impair performance through poor decision making and impaired reaction times. They cause lost productivity, inferior goods or services, errors, and can put at risk the safety of that individual, other workers, or the general public. In general, alcohol and other drug use by the workforce have also been associated with absenteeism, accidents, turnover, and other negative work behaviors.
Join us on February 7th at 1200pm at the Double Tree Hotel as Moriah Mendenhall presents on Drug and Alcohol Awareness and provides an update to the AB2188.
Moriah will also provide information on the signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse, so you can take the correct action when recognizing an employee under the influence. Including the review of a reasonable suspicion process.
Employers must be cautious when confronting an employee about suspected drug or alcohol use or misuse. There may be legitimate reasons for the symptoms, such as bloodshot eyes due to allergies or absenteeism due to a legitimate health reason. Don't miss this educational presentation and the information to help you keep your workplace safe and drug free.
