Navigating the maze of employee relations and ensuring that decisions made are in compliant under state and federal law, can be complicated. To help unravel the mystery of topics such as at-will employment, wage and hour law, and employee leaves, join us on November 7, 2018 for the half-day seminar HR 201: Beyond the Basics.  

Local employment law attorneys Daniel Klingenberger, of LeBeau Thelen, LLP, Jerry Pearson, of Young Wooldridge LLP, and Katy Raytis, Belden Blaine Raytis, LLP will provide tips and tools for anyone with HR responsibilities to handle these issues effectively.

Jerry Pearson is a Partner at Young Wooldridge, LLP where he manages the firm’s Business Department. His practice is limited solely to representing management in labor and employment law issues and making sure his clients stay in compliance with the State and Federal labor laws. He has successfully defended employers in wage and hour matters, as well as cases alleging harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination and other labor-related issues before the California State Superior Court, the California Court of Appeals, the United States District Court, the California Labor Commissioner and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.

Daniel K. Klingenberger is a Partner at LeBeau Thelen, LLP where he represents large and small companies in all forms of employment litigation, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, class actions, unfair competition/trade secret issues, wage and hour claims, and discrimination.  He provides employers with creative and effective advocacy in the defense of such claims.  His litigation experience includes jury and bench trials in State and Federal Courts.


Katy Raytis is a Partner at Belden Blain and focuses her employment law practice on employer representation and counseling for matters related to harassment, discrimination, wage and hour, wrongful termination, and other compliance issues. She has extensive experience handling administrative claims and has actively participated in litigating a variety of employment-related lawsuits. Katy's counseling practice includes policy development as well as practical advice on implementation, enforcement, and troubleshooting.
